Karl is an associate of Custom Tailored Systems, a Chicago based corporation specializing in networking, custom applications, and applications integration. Karl has over ten years experience in the computing industry, including several years of providing around-the-clock support and technical troubleshooting for a wide area network of over 1,000 different servers.
Karl has lead teams of analysts in planning and support projects for various types of servers in multiple locations. His responsibilities have included: network requirements gathering, customer computer technology planning, capacity planning, hardware support, software support, advanced troubleshooting, problem resolution, and LAN administration.
Karl also has extensive experience in application design, development and support. His application experience includes inventory control systems, scheduling systems, expense tracking systems, and order processing systems.
Karl's technical expertise includes Windows 95/98, Windows 3.1, Windows NT/2000, OS/2, Netware 2.x, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x and IntraNetware, various network topologies including Token Ring, ATM, FDDI, and Ethernet, a wide range of software and hardware, and the IBM Mainframe environment. He is a Novell Certified Netware Engineer (CNE) since 1991, a Certified NetFrame Administrator, a Microsoft MCSE, and a member of the Network Professional Association (NPA). Karl is also trained in Network General Sniffer.
